                                              PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

                                                                                                         24/04/ 2020
World is facing unprecedented fury of COVID-19 pandemic. I sincerely hope that you and your family stay safe.

On behalf of organizing committee of ISRTPCON 2019, 14th Annual Conference and International CME of Indian Society of Renal and Transplantation Pathology (ISRTP) from 11th -13th October 2019 held at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) Lucknow, I thank all ISRTP members for making ISRTPCON 2019 a grand success by their active participation.

It was agreed for forthcoming 15th annual conference of Indian Society of Renal and Transplantation Pathology (ISRTP), ISRTPCON2020 to be organized by Prof Aruna Vanikar and her team at Gujarat University of Transplantation Sciences (GUTS), in IKDRC premises from 25th to 27th September, 2020 and CME on 24th September, 2020. Prof Aruna Vanikar in co-ordination with Prof Surya Seshan had accomplished a lot with significant preparations for this meeting already. Due to current circumstances of COVID19 pandemic, the conference is postponed for the next year i.e. 2021. Suitable dates for the ISRTPCON will be decided and informed.

During this pandemic, routine clinical work in renal pathology has decreased. We have the time to increasingly engage ourselves with web based knowledge resources, webinars and pathology repositories and continue with knowledge generation and exchange more than ever before.

It is suggested that a web based periodic renal pathology discussion forum may be created engaging ISRTP members with pre-decided renal pathology related topics and also to conduct invited webinars on regular basis on relevant renal pathology topics under ISRTP forum.

Wishing everyone stay safe and healthy during this covid19 pandemic.

Best Regards,

Dr. Manoj Jain
